Although, i have been slacking with my updates.. I've pretty much reading all of the other blogs and celebrity gossip and inauguration insanity that everyone has been posting.
First, yay Obama is officially the president of the USA. Speaking of the inauguration I might sound entirely ignorant by saying this. Obama will be the first president to use e-mail via Blackberry. I find that extremely ridiculous. As I was scanning the article about this situation in the local paper. It states that, &iquote "Neither George W. Bush nor Bill Clinton used email during their presidencies, although Bush has claimed he used email before becoming president." Can you imagine how many more BJs B.Clinton could've been getting if he were to text Monica Lewinsky while in the oval office? It is definitely about time for the White House to upgrade to technology and allow Obama to have the Blackberry. It's not like they won't be able to keep track of him and his schedule, with all of the tracking/map/scheduling applications that are available via Blackberry they should be open to this. Obama got his way. "You go Glen Coco!" (oh, the satire in that paragraph.)
I've read like 15 chapters of my pedagogy book. It's not so fun, but its interesting except on the first day of class we had an assignment to write what pedagogy meant to us.. basically making up our own theoriesand whatnot. Of course the next day to make my life a living hell we had to peer edit AND share our theories with the class. I hate peer editing and sharing in class even if there's only 20 people in my class. It still bugs me. I also realized that I hate when people start papers off with definitions. I kid not you, the girl sitting next me started her paper with,
"pedagogy
ped·a·go·gy (pěd'ə-gō'jē, -gŏj'ē) Pronunciation Key
n.
The art or profession of teaching.
Preparatory training or instruction."
SERIOUSLY. Let me get my red pen out and tell you how much I hate your introduction. No, I really wasn't that mean about it. So weird that midterms are in like 4 weeks...
So, I might actually go somewhere for my spring break this year. My friend and I are trying to compile a list of places to go. We don't have many places so far all of which are stereotypical vacation spots. Places such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle. Definitely want to go somewhere warm, but staying clear of Florida. I wouldn't mind going to Rhode Island.. I'm pretty sure they have beaches.. if its warm.. not so sure.
Daphne going on vacation also means that I'm going to have to cut back on all of my ridiculous shopping habits. Although, I just won a bid on ebay for Air Jordan 10s.. hopefully I can refrain from buying anymore clothes/shoes until the end of February. I will definitely have enough money for my trip.. but having spending money when I get there is the task. About time to start putting some $$ in that 'ol savings account of mine.
I don't get all the jazz about Fleet Foxes, they pretty much suck. Not to mention the lead singer is gross because I can't tell if he's wearing some sort of hat or his hair is just super dirty which goes along with a dirty beard. Kings of Leon ftw. Speaking of which KOL were in town the other night.. haven't heard any reviews yet. I definitely wouldn't mind having the "Only By Night" album on vinyl. Hmmm.
After weeks of inpatient waiting, I finally received my legos and made my heart brooches. They didn't even give me a tracking number until I e-mailed them on Monday. Jessica, did you go to the post office to pick up that package yet?
P.S. Everyone go see Notorious, its so good!
sike. I just bought the the american apparel circle scarf, its versatile!
